Warrior West – Safariland

Safariland had something on display that you don’t see everyday, the Ranger Regiment holster.

Issued for the past two years, it is designed specifically for the M9 pistol and features a removable flap with the Eagle-style silent hook pull tab. The holster itself utilizes Safariland’s nonstandard finish with MultiCam Cordura.

The holster also incorporates their Quick Locking System (QLS).

What is that, the M-12 Widowmaker for the 21st century? Would it be safe to assume that the flap is only intended for airborne operations?

I had the same thought, old meets new hybrid. I get it as a protective piece though. Probably great for the initial approach, then take it off once you’re ready to roll in.

  2. Bob says:

The flap was only issued for a few hundred of the issued holsters for tasks requiring added protection. The holster also had a rail system inside to hold the M9 with or without a light.

Anybody know of a Part# on this product? I’ve been using the 3285 but this appears more robust and why lie–I’m diggin’ that Multicam.
